Environmental performance is assessed with regard to the degree of achievement of domestic objectives and internacional commitments. Such objecitves and commitments may be broad aims, specific qualitative goals, or precise quantitvaive targets.
The study is divided in three parts.
The OECD study has a sustantial chapter regarding Nature and Biodiversity Management. Through this chapter, policy objectives and legal and institutional frameworks are revised. Furthermore, it revises Mexico's work on the convervation of species and ecosystem, the development of protected areas, also the sustainable forest management and the financement on nature and biodiversity conservation.
